Subject: Malcolm X – The House Negro and the Field Negro

The House Negro and the Field Negro, speech by the great Malcolm X, after the March on Washington (1963).

Dear Khalid Mahmood

I listened to this talk, and although it was delivered in 1963, thousands of miles away from Birmingham, I could swear that the speaker was talking about your good-self.
Without endorsing everything the speaker says, he does sum you up so perfectly.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards
Farasat Latif

  1. Ofstead has failed to produce even a shred of evidence to show there were any extremist in action in any of the Birmingham schools. The house masters such the education secretary Gove and Teresa May have managed to tarnish the excellent work that the Birmingham schools had done by using the house nig*s.
The trouble is you can buy them two for a Penney.
It is impossible for an outstanding school to be come a special measure school over such a short period.

It is quite clear they are all very affraid of Muslims somehow ?

    • The ideologically-driven attack by Gove does suggest his irrational fear of Islam and Muslims becoming mobilised and educated. In the broader political context however, it also provides the pretext to push all kinds of invasive policies e.g.

      a) removal of predominantly Muslim heads and governors and reinstatement of “white” elitists.
      b) Pushing control into Islamic schools (madrassas)
      c) Reinforcement and credence to illiberal Prevent Policy
      d) Justification for singling out Muslims as a potential threat, despite its blatant discriminatory focus on the Muslim minority

These are but a few examples.
