Analysing Azeem Ibrahim’s Excision of Western Interventions as a Radicalisation Factor

Western foreign policy is something that western governments do not like talking about.  It comes to the fore when highlighting the “brave Muslims” who fought for “our freedoms” during World War I and conveniently omitting the slaughter of Ottoman Muslims demanded of them. Or when Western leaders, like David Cameron explicitly try to refute the notion that foreign policy has anything to do with terrorism and fail miserably.

A similar trend of avoiding Western antics in the Middle East exists when discussing ISIS. The press and political rhetoric has often focused on the religious characteristic of the enterprise, often ignoring the foundations of ISIS, which rest upon former US detained, “bitter” nationalist, secular Iraqi Ba’athists who have adopted the garb of religion to amass control.  The relevance of Western policies and escalation of violence in the Middle East is regularly demonstrated in the use of orange Guantanamo-style jumpsuits in their propaganda videos – something even Obama noted when he described Guantanamo as an “enormous recruiting tool for extremists”.  To this end, it is difficult to envisage a glorified gang with a religious twang forming without the provenance that was the neoconservative foreign policy in Iraq.  Even Tony Blair had to chokingly admit that there are “elements of truth” that the Iraq invasion helped feed the rise of ISIS.

In short, to deny anger and violence resulting from Western foreign policy in the Middle East is a delusion designed to whitewash Western militarism and its often catastrophic consequences.

More Desperate Press Smears Reinforces Bankruptcy of PREVENT Policy, Exposes Neoconservative Threat to Britain

In all honesty, I feel for the journalists working at establishment papers who have to churn out desperate and utterly dubious rubbish to protect the state’s totalitarian tendencies. Bills need to be paid, afterall. The Telegraph, with its history of neoconservatism is one such paper.  With the likes of Dean Godson, and Charles Moore, the Telegraph was, according to its former editor Martin Newland, effectively a mouthpiece for US and Zionist interests.  Today, the standard of journalism – or churnalism – is Andrew Gilligan-level: dubious state-propagandist tripe of the neoconservative variety.  And it seems with the stalled and now exhumed and resuscitated Telegraph piece attempting to a) delegitimise PREVENT opposition and advocacy group CAGE, and b) intimidate Muslim charities to not work with them, the neoconservative tradition of spin, deception and outright lies continues.

CAGE Refutes Inaccurate Telegraph Article and Exposes Signs of Desperation

asimcageMy sources in Birmingham actually attended this event and confirm the statements of CAGE. I quote directly from what the person had to say. The attendee felt he was personally attacked by these “ridiculous comments” because he found the event confidence-inspiring:

“I actually attended thinking it as a community event, and looking at the number of people in attendance (there were a lot of people) the community considered it as an important community event also. We regarded it as a community event because the community in Birmingham is still sore from the Trojan Horse lies. The event came as a breath of fresh air, and instilled confidence. For the journalist to raise the “locking of the door” jest speaks more about the level of journalism at Telegraph. The fact that parts of the audience responded with laughter should be self-explanatory. This type of journalism is either uninformed or maliciously deliberate: if the Trojan Horse smears are anything to go by, I am inclined to perceive it’s the latter.”

How the Media is Abusing Alan Henning’s Ordeal to Push Neocon Policy

Source: Telegraph

Alan Henning’s capture and video, as intended by whoever is orchestrating these videos, has caused much shock.  Whilst I can labour on at how each child in Gaza who has been blown to smithereens using Western-supplied arms also had a mother, father and siblings, and how the death of British doctor Dr Abbas Khan in a Syrian prison was not met with vows by our Prime Minister to “hunt down” the “monster” that is Bashar al-Assad, the fact is that such hypocrisy will never make the mainstream news until there is goat that can be slaughtered to save face.

Despite this, Henning’s ordeal is indeed a truly sad one and I sincerely hope he comes out of this situation alive and well. Many are coming out in support of him, and even “Al-Qaeda” has tried to free him. He was indeed a gentle, loving and caring individual who had a genuine passion to assist the people of Syria.  I pray all those who have been unjustly captured like Henning, such as Aafia Siddiqui, Moazzam Begg and the prisoners of Guantanamo Bay are given due justice and freed from their oppressors.

The media however, take such opportunities to engage the neocon cold-war against the Muslim minority and those who resist neocon policies. Mixing facts with lies, distortions and exaggerations is a common method to flare emotions and achieve maximum demonization of the target. Such incidents are already being used by government officials as pretext for wars as well as reinforcement of domestic policies. Sadly, Henning’s ordeal has also been used as a tool to propagandise against key Muslim personalities.

In a report in the Torygraph by Bill Gardner (probably an apprentice of the neocon-propagandist Andrew Gilligan) made some notable remarks which blatantly skewed key facts and smeared renowned activist and a scholar of Islam.

In trying to prove the charity had linked with “extremists”, the article highlights that,

“Aid 4 Syria has also used its Facebook page to promote an event called O’Ummah Wake Up And Rise! at which the guest speakers were Zahir Mahmood and Moazzam Begg. Mr Mahmood describes the proscribed terrorist group Hamas as “freedom fighters” while Mr Begg, a former detainee at Guantanamo Bay, has admitted to fighting in Bosnia.”

To those familiar with the neocon strategy of smearing key Muslim individuals who exert an influence over people, the above paragraphs will be recognised as textbook Harry’s Place material.  The allegation against a respected Islamic scholar, Shaykh Zahir Mahmood, has been regurgitated elsewhere by neocons (for instance, Raheem Kassam’s Student Rights organisation, which is front for the Henry Jackson Society, has also used it to smear the said scholar).

Firstly, the statement uses the neoconservative, ideological definition of “extremism”, which demarcates criticism of Israel and support for the resistance against the brutality of the Zionist entity as “extremism”. This was also seen as a marker for extremism by Peter Clarke, who regarded the Orthodox Jewish group, Neturei Karta as “extremists” for opposing Israel in his Trojan Hoax report. The resistance against the Zionist entity has attained worldwide support, with the BDS movement being supported by Western academics, including renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, whilst Jewish Auschwitz survivors have likened Israel to Nazi Germany.

Secondly, the “terrorism” card is dropped to ensure the criminality of those mentioned.  As explained in an earlier blog, in accordance with international law, Hamas is resisting an occupying power, thus any defence, or belligerent reprisals against an occupier is currently legal.  It is the occupying power which is forbidden from using violence to suppress a resistance.  In this regard, Hamas, who were democratically elected to represent the Palestinian people are freedom fighters; they are fighting for the freedom from Zionist state terrorism and economic, political and infrastructural destruction.  The extremists are those who label this resistance “terrorism”.

What further highlights the blatant neocon bias is the reference to Hamas as a “proscribed terrorist group”. Hamas categorically, under UK law, is not a proscribed group, and the paper has made a blatant error here.

Thirdly, the statement targets those who subject the neocon government to public scrutiny and accountability, something which the press should be doing but is instead acting as the mouthpiece of the government and covering its extremist policies and complicity to torture and war crimes.  Moazzam Begg may have fought in Bosnia, but was this a crime? Christian Serbs were ethnically cleansing the Muslim population, inflicting gruesome violence against civilians. With the UN stalling in producing a meaningful response countries, including Britain, eventually struck key targets without a Security Council authorisation. Thus, the fight in Bosnia was in-line with British foreign policy. And let’s not go into the blind eye given to British Zionists potentially committing war crimes against the Palestinian.

Moazzam Begg was the victim of US injustice. He dedicated his life as a humanitarian supporting those which society largely ignored, seeking justice for those who were voiceless.  His recent arrest signifies UK government’s continued decline into tyranny as Begg was about to release sensitive information which would show UK complicity to torture in Syria.

The extremely tenuous dragging-in of key personalities who are positively making a difference in the lives of people, to the dislike of the neocons, into emotionally-charged stories is indicative of the cold war on the Muslim minority today. The fact that the sensitive ordeal of a man hanging in between life and death is used to push this cold war is frankly disgusting.

Andrew Gilligan’s Neocon-Driven Distortions and Lies Exposed (Again)

Andrew GilliganLiar

Andrew Gilligan.  How can this man still be employed as a journalist?  Neocon Hype-Whore maybe but journalist?  Despite being completely obliterated in a previous blog and exposed for his selective information, distortion and outright lies, Gilligan released another piece, again riddled with lies, distortions and his usual quotes regarding “Islamising agenda”, which as we shall see, paints a doctored, small portion of the picture. Anything this man brings out is tarnished by the clear fact that he repeatedly toes a deceitful neocon narrative, is brutally disingenuous and a liar.

Gilligan has a habit of attempting to smear Muslims who perhaps take a stand against his fiendish fetish for lying and contributing to an atmosphere of hate against the Muslim minority.  The most recent attack is carefully worded; it seems the legal team in the Torygraph are comprehensively vetting his hatchet-jobs and inserting “allegedly” before unsubstantiated accusations to ensure he is not liable for defamation.

Gilligan Insinuates Support for Police State

Through his meticulous insinuations, the sock-puppeting Gilligan has launched an attack against some members of the Muslim community in Birmingham, Belal Ballali for instance has been smeared through the use of innocent statements on his Facebook page and the challenging of harassment by Mi5. Challenging unwarranted harassment is evil now is it Gilligan? Gilligan, falling from his high pedestal of exposing the fabricated Iraq dossier, thereby contributing to upholding government scrutiny, is now a full-on supporter of the establishment and its actions, including those by the State which are more akin to the Orwellian nightmare than the liberal democracy which are told to be living in.

The other horrifying crime perpetrated by Ballali is his active support of the human rights campaigner Moazzam Begg, who has been arrested on fickle charges for, what is widely believed to be, an attempt at suppressing Begg’s revelations of UK Government torture collusion in Syria. In other words, in a true neocon-supporting move, Gilligan seems to be smearing Ballali for supporting Government scrutiny, something Gilligan, as a journalist, is meant to be doing. Presumably, Terry Holdbrooks, a former Guantanamo guard who has come out to lend support to Moazzam, is also to be condemned for supporting Moazzam.

The Lies, Distortions & Incompetency of Andrew Gilligan, Birmingham City Council and the Attack on Al-Hijra School

BCC Ofsted Gilligan

Andrew Gilligan’s crusade against schools in deprived areas, which also happen to Muslim majority in demography, set off an almost comical sequence of events, starting with the fabricated Trojan Horse Plot and the “Islamist take-over of schools” hyperbole, resulting in three levels of investigations (Ofsted, Birmingham City Council and Department for Education (DfE)). This has resulted in reputations being tarnished, children being psychologically harmed by Ofsted inspectors, and a community feeling confused, downtrodden and comprehensively under attack by the “white elite”.

Gilligan’s latest charade resulted in Al-Hijra School in Bordesley Green, being smeared. His article, riddled with exaggerations, distortions and outright lies is a testament to his blatant lack of integrity as a journalist and as we shall see, leads one to a conclusion that Gilligan is a hype-whore.

Birmingham City Council’s Bullying Tactics

According to the Chair of Governors, Mr Waseem Yaqub OBE, Birmingham City Council (BCC) has been attempting to destabilise Al-Hijra School since November 2012; well before the “Trojan Horse” fabrication surfaced. Between April 2013 and May 2014, the BCC made four attempts at imposing an IEB (interim executive board) upon Al-Hijra School. On three occasions they were forced to withdraw because the governors demonstrated that the BCC had not followed regulations. On one occasion, whilst rejecting the local authority’s “takeover”, the HMI Regional Director for Ofsted stated,

“Birmingham City Council may not have acted lawfully in seeking to impose the package of support”.

The BCC has also been engaged in leaking selective, misleading statements to bodies through improper channels against the school to further their own agenda. In December 2013, the school was placed in Special Measures. Al-Hijra School drew up a “school improvement plan” (SIP), which was declared to be not fit for purpose by the HMI (Inspector) of Ofsted who visited the school.

Upon raising this with Chair of Governors, he stated that,

“this is true and we accept this however, the report fails to mention that the Inspect also complimented 90% of the school’s SIP.”

“Hate-Evangelising” Telegraph Uses Extremist Material in its Report on iERA

Evangelising Hate...

Evangelising Hate…

This article is a demonstration of the seething hate the neocon media have, coupled with the assistance of compromised government organs, towards those who propound Islam. This is an exposition of an example of where impartiality has been forfeited in order to support and propagate the neocon narrative against Islam and Muslims.

Referencing a network of anti-Muslim extremists, the Telegraph (or rather, the Torygraph) has done a spread on iERA, wrapping highly specious anti-Muslim rhetoric as a “report”, and in the process, smearing a Muslim organisation. It is necessary to note that iERA has been subject to an investigation into their governance, not extremist views.

Using this as a premise however, the smear has been mainly constructed around a “report” (if we can even call it that) written by anti-Muslim extremists and a few other sprinklings of highly discredited events which provide the armoury against iERA and Islam.

CEMB and Maryam Namazie

The Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain (CEMB) was launched in 2007. It is a front organisation for the anti-Islam, far-left Worker Communist Party of Iran and consists mainly of the party’s members. CEMB’s primary public advocate is Maryam Namazie, who is also the editor of the report which the Torygraph has cited, Evangelising Hate. Ignoring the self-evident hypocrisy of using an “ex-Muslim’s” report, her vitriolic hate for all religions and in particular Islam makes her one dubious character to reference in an article about Islam and Muslims. Nevertheless, I will let her own hate-speech exemplify my point.
