A Civilizational Threat? Hurricanes, Ideologies and PREVENT

HurricaneIrmaPREVENT.png

On the 25th of August, Hurricane Harvey struck areas in and around the US leaving 71 confirmed deaths and an estimated economic loss approaching $180 billion dollars – eclipsing Katrina – in its wake. Five days later a tropical cyclone developed into the category 5 “Hurricane Irma”, hitting the Atlantic basin and unleashing destruction.  With Irma now weakening as I write, its carnage has taken at least 24 lives, with a further five people perishing in the US.  Major cities including Jacksonville, Florida, and Charleston, South Carolina have been flooded, leaving millions without power.

Propagandising Prevent: The Neocon Exploitation of the Manchester Arena Bombing

stream_img

The 22nd May Manchester Arena bombing has etched a particularly traumatic experience into the people of Britain. The attack in Manchester has claimed the lives of young teenagers, including an eight-year old.  My sympathies go out to the victims of this atrocity.

I delayed writing on this topic for two reasons; the first being in respect of the lives lost; the second because so little had been established concerning the motive.  With the Westminster attack, if we recall, there was a significant internalisation of blame by the Muslim minority without establishment of key facts – a dynamic that was fully exploited by neocons.  Indeed, once the motive was established, it pointed to an uncomfortable motive, which is increasingly being marginalised in the discourses that seek to analyse the “causes” of terrorism: Western violence.

A Review of the Louise Casey Review (3) – A Supremacist Far-Right, Neoconservative Screed of Double Standards and Muslim Minority Stigmatisation

caseyreviewtitledmurrayrspencergwildersabreivik

Part 1 (Introduction): A Review of the Casey review (1)

Part 2: A Review of the Louise Casey Review (2) – A Paper Influenced by the Transatlantic Neocon Hate-network

Having established the influence of the transatlantic neocon hate network in the Casey Review, and in order to better appreciate the content of the report, it is worth better understanding the neoconservative narrative which underpins the Casey Review.

The Far-Right/Neocon Eurabia Conspiracy Theory

The reduction of the “white population”, Muslim population growth, and Muslims living together in areas, are sinisterised constituents of a particular narrative which states there is an existential Muslim “takeover” threat to Europe aided by a secretive deal between Arabs and Europeans. This narrative was first promulgated by conspiracy theorist Gisèle Littman, better known by her pen-name Bat Ye’or.  The myth has been heavily criticised as a conspiracy theory and debunked by prominent scholars including Professor Arun Kundnani, who has likened its evidentiary credentials to the Protocols of Elders of Zion.

The conspiracy theory, however, has been adopted by neoconservatives and the far-right, including prominent actors of the Islamophobia industry Robert Spencer, Daniel Pipes and Pamela Geller.  It has been advocated by supremacist neoconservatives, fanned by the far-right “counter-jihad” movement, and adopted by paranoid, mass-murdering neo-Nazi terrorists. For full details of this myth and its promoters see here.

Waverley School in Birmingham hosting BBC film Crew to Shoot PREVENT Propaganda

KamalHanifPREVENTDavidCameron Those promoting PREVENT are getting desperate, it seems. Sources in Birmingham forwarded a letter from Waverley School (Birmingham) directed to parents, stating that the school will participate in a BBC Panorama documentary promoting PREVENT. The letter reads that the BBC programme will “showcase some of the excellent work we do around Safeguarding and the Prevent Duty”.   The film crew will be in the school tomorrow (25th November) and requests the parents to fill in a consent form.

When Deformists Meet for Tea: Shaista Gohir and Rashad Ali

ShaistaGohirRashadAli_1.jpg

Much has been elucidated on the deformist, Shaista Gohir of Muslim Women’s Network UK. For a dissection of her troubling views on Islam, toxic involvement with the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE)/PREVENT agendas, and timely interventions that have served to prop anti-Muslim narratives and policies, see here and here.

The role of yet another deformist and counter-terrorism “consultant”, Rashad Zaman Ali, has been explicated here on the blog a number of times.  From founding the neoconservative-overseen Quilliam Foundation and financially benefiting from the suffering of the Muslim minority vis-à-vis the post-Trojan Hoax inquisition by Ofsted, to becoming a mouthpiece for Zionist propaganda, Ali certainly has a busy curriculum vitae for the subversive Muslim deformist role.

Two wrongs do not make a right. Rather they tend to produce more nefariousness.

Rockwood Academy is Run by Trojan Horse Beneficiaries and Endorsed by “Extremists”

rockwoodarmy.png

The Trojan Horse event of 2014 in Birmingham, which saw a political and media campaign to prove a “Islamist plot” to “takeover” state schools, and its fallout will go down in history as an eerily textbook implementation of neoconservative “father” Leo Strauss’ vision of the closed society.  Briefly, the fascist thinking of neoconservatism has exploitation of fear, public deception, ruthless militarism and a totalitarian society as its tools and aims. As I have covered in some detail citing neoconservative writers and thinkers, the idea is that an active military abroad will result in people handing their freedoms here at home on a platter to an intrusive, all-encompassing state controlled by a small elite.  Ultimately, a society willing to sacrifice its life for the neoconservative state is the ideal.  This seemingly dystopian vision however has more than flavour of reality in Britain.

The Trojan Horse fiasco – now known by Muslims as the “Trojan Hoax” – entrenched the far-right myth of the “Muslim takeover”. This was done by employing lying journalists to cook up stories of “extremism”, whilst neocon infiltrated education departments and regulators (Ofsted) were weaponised into feeding the myth of the Trojan Horse.  Muslim teachers were purged on the flimsiest of reasons – privately held beliefs – in order to fulfil the interconnected purposes of providing a pretext for regulatory measures (PREVENT), and constructing the fifth column Muslim enemy archetype. Of course, Ofsted was criticised by a host of academics early on, the “Trojan horse plot” turned out to be an elaborate piñata constructed by neocons, and courts are now overturning bans on Muslim teachers.

Rockwood Academy Militarisation

Despite the slow but steady disintegration of the Trojan hoax pretext, the neoconservative machine is chugging away at chipping and socially re-engineering the open society into a closed one. Leading the way is the Muslim-majority, Birmingham-based Rockwood Academy, formerly known as Park View School – the first victim of the Trojan Hoax political Islamophobia in the education sector.

Discriminatory Michael Wilshaw’s Problem with Islam and Muslims

ofstedattackingIslamWilshaw

Since the Trojan Hoax fiasco, project deconstruction of Islam has been complimented by project purge. Muslim teachers have had their careers and reputations ruined whilst teachers from evangelical Christian backgrounds remained unscathed despite similar allegations raised against them having been brought to light on this very blog.

Anti-Muslim Ofsted, Anti-Islam Wilshaw

Ofsted has allegedly undergone a complete change. A number of inspectors my sources have spoken to have stated that Ofsted has adopted an “Islamophobic agenda”, with a blatant focus on Islamic schools and schools in Muslim majority areas being made the focus.

My sources also state that there is a trend of Muslim inspectors who wear Islamic garb and visual cues like the beard being quietly dropped, with their contracts not being renewed.
